Background information

For over 20 years, Flemming has integrated different disciplines like psychology, leadership, teamwork, and communication with life purpose, personal growth, life-quality, and the meaningful life. He has authored 17 books, with nine oriented to integrating the Enneagram into practical use. He has been a speaker at IEA Conferences since 2004, presenting on leadership, teamwork, presence and mindfulness, and, more recently, the integration of integral theory with the Enneagram. Flemming is also co-founder of IEA Denmark and an active member of the board for many years.

He founded the Enneagram Institute of Denmark in 2002 after being certified by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudsom founders of the Enneagram Institute. He is responsible for training more than 50,000 students over the last decade and the highly-precise Enneagram test is now used by more than 130,000 people. In the times of covid-19 be has been training more than 2.600 students online including 1.000 high school students learning about teamwork, personal skills, feedback and building upon your passion in life.

Flemming is the creator of several Enneagram applications and a 28-day training program that supports Enneagram enthusiasts in their daily use of the Enneagram. Since 1996, one of his biggest contributions to the Enneagram community is the extensive use of the Enneagram in leadership-training and team-development in business and public sector organizations. International companies like AbbVie, Danske Bank, LEGO, Microsoft, Novo Nordisk and Philips are using the Enneagram to grow and expand personal excellence.

Education

Flemming is a fully-certified teacher through The Enneagram Institute and is a certified Integral Development Coach through New Ventures West, a leading coach training school. Flemming has also studied at the University of Notre Dame’s “Executive Integral Leadership” program and the Strozzi Institute’s “School of Embodied Leadership.” He is also certified in Protreptic by Ole Fogh Kirkeby from Copenhagen Business School. Currently he is taking a Master in Buddhist Studies.

Volunteer experience

Bhutan er et lille kongedømme i Himalaya-bjergene, beliggende imellem Kina (Tibet) og Indien. Landets areal er på 38.400 km2, og indbyggertallet er ca. 800.000. Udsigterne er på langt sigt forholdsvis positive, idet Bhutan i løbet af ca. 8 år forventes selv at kunne finansiere størstedelen af landets udvikling.

Tidligere var landet afhængigt af landbruget, men i dag sker der en kraftig vækst i udnyttelsen af vandkraft, som er muliggjort af landets bjergrige terræn. Bhutan står dog stadig over for store udfordringer. Det største problem er fattigdommen, som især er udbredt i bjerg- og landdistrikterne. Ligeledes har sundhedsvæsenet og uddannelsessektoren store behov for forbedringer.

Terre Des Hommes arbejder på at forbedre vilkårene for børn fra bjerglandsbyerne, således at de også får muligheden for at få den 6-årige skolegang, som er normalt. Igennem vores projekt bliver der taget højde for, at det også er pigerne, som får mulighed for at komme i skole. Tit og ofte kommer der kun et barn fra en familie
